When is the best time to visit Dharamshala & McLeod Ganj?+
March–June for clear Dhauladhar views and treks like Triund, September–November for crisp post-monsoon weather and the best Bir-Billing paragliding, and December–February for snow around McLeod Ganj and Dharamkot. Trips run year-round, tailored to the season.
Is the Triund trek suitable for beginners?+
Yes. Triund (2,850 m) is a 9 km moderate day-hike from McLeod Ganj that most reasonably fit first-timers complete in 4–5 hours. Guides, permits, camping and gear are arranged so you only carry a daypack.
How do I book paragliding in Bir Billing?+
Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and we confirm a certified pilot, the take-off slot at Billing (2,400 m) and pick-up/drop. Flights run roughly October–June, weather permitting.
Can I rent a scooty or Royal Enfield in Dharamshala?+
Yes — Scooty from ₹800/day, Royal Enfield Bullet/Himalayan and self-drive cars too. Helmet included and free delivery to your hotel within Dharamshala, McLeod Ganj or Dharamkot.
Is Dharamkot good for a longer, slow stay or workation?+
Dharamkot is the region’s laid-back hub — cafés, yoga, music and forest trails, long popular with international and remote-working travellers. It’s one of the two bases for our 30-Day Workation (the other is Bir Billing): a vetted stay or guesthouse, a desk with wifi, a local SIM sorted, and someone local on call all month. What’s genuinely offbeat near Dharamshala?+
The roadless village of Palachak (Rajgundha) behind the Billing ridge, the shepherd route over Thamsar Pass, the 8th-century Masroor rock-cut temples, and quiet meadows like Thatharana. These treks are run directly by our local team — no resellers.
How do I reach Dharamshala?+
Fly to Gaggal (Kangra) airport about 30 minutes away, or take an overnight Volvo from Delhi (10–12 hours). The nearest railhead is Pathankot. Airport transfers and cabs can be arranged for pickup on arrival.
